Privacy Policy

Last updated September 2026

This policy explains what data felipefialho.com processes when you visit the site, why, and how you control it. It follows the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD, Law No. 13,709/2018) and, for visitors in the EEA and the UK, the GDPR

Who is the controller

The data controller is Felipe Fialho. For anything privacy related, contact hi@felipefialho.com

What the site collects

The site has no user accounts, comments or forms, so I do not ask for or store your name, email or phone number here. There are only three sources of data:

  • Hosting (Netlify): the server logs technical data for each request, such as IP address, browser and requested page. I use this for security and to keep the site running
  • Analytics (Google Analytics 4): measures which pages are read and how the site is used. It sets analytics cookies and only runs after you consent
  • Ads (Google AdSense): ads help pay for running the site. By default, non-personalized ads are shown, based on the page content rather than your browsing history. Personalized ads only appear if you consent

If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, you will see Google’s certified consent message before any advertising or analytics cookie is set

Local storage (localStorage)

The site uses your browser’s localStorage to remember your theme (light or dark) and your consent choices. This data stays on your device and is not sent to or shared with anyone

  • Consent (GDPR art. 6(1)(a), LGPD art. 7, I): Google Analytics 4 and personalized ads
  • Legitimate interest (GDPR art. 6(1)(f), LGPD art. 7, IX): non-personalized ads and server security logs

Sharing and international transfers

Analytics and ad data are processed by Google, and access logs by Netlify. Both may store and process data on servers outside your country, including in the United States. These transfers rely on the safeguards those companies describe in their own policies and contracts, such as standard contractual clauses

For how Google uses data from partner sites, see Google’s policy

How long data is kept

  • Google Analytics 4: 14 months
  • Server logs (Netlify): kept for the period set by the platform, only as long as needed for security and operation
  • localStorage: until you clear your browser data

Your rights

Under the GDPR and the LGPD, you can ask for:

  • confirmation that your data is processed, and access to it;
  • correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • erasure of your data, or restriction of its processing;
  • portability of your data;
  • an objection to processing based on legitimate interest;
  • withdrawal of consent at any time, at no cost, without affecting processing done before you withdrew it

To exercise any of these rights, email hi@felipefialho.com. Because the site does not identify you directly, I may ask for details (such as the date of your visit) to locate your data

If you believe your data was handled improperly, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. In Brazil that is the ANPD (gov.br/anpd); in the EU or the UK, it is the authority in your country of residence

Click Cookie preferences in the footer of any page to change or withdraw your consent whenever you want. You can also manage Google ad personalization at adssettings.google.com and delete cookies in your browser settings

The site links to third-party pages. This policy does not apply to them, so please read the privacy policy of each site you visit

Changes to this policy

I may update this policy when the site changes. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the page: September 29, 2026
